There are some trips that I’ve taken that simply occurred too long ago for me to provide any meaningful advice, and there are some that were too fleeting. This one falls into both category A and category B. While I’ve heard that things have changed a lot in the States since COVID, I’m sure that renting a car and hitting the road out to Joshua Tree for a night or two is absolutely still a worthwhile pursuit. I can’t wait to get back there, explore its vast and glorious national parks, drink filter coffee in diners and constantly be taken aback by how it really does feel like you’re in a movie. Just a little bit.
